I firmly believe that language is not just a tool of transmitting facts, but a powerful tool of self-expression.

I want to equip my students with this powerful tool,

while deepening their understanding of the difference between their own culture and Japanese one.

I teach the conventional language use and the culture embedded in it while highlighting students’ agency.

I provide students with output opportunities to practice the language use in a real-world context.

I create a place where students feel safe to experiment with their language use and get feedback.
